Cash For Junk Cars Westside Chicago LLC

How a junk car sale works with us

How does selling a junk car to a buyer work?

With Cash For Junk Cars Westside Chicago LLC, you describe the car, get one offer by phone and choose a pickup time. Our own tow truck comes to the West Side street, alley or lot where the car sits, the driver checks the car and papers, and you're paid in cash, by Zelle or by Cash App before it leaves.

  1. 1.You describe the car

Send the form or call. Year, make, model, title status and where it's parked. Mention anything unusual: no keys, flat tires, crash damage, a tight garage.

  2. 2.We make one offer

You hear a single number, and you can ask how we got there. The offer doesn't expire, and nothing is booked until you say yes.

  3. 3.You pick the pickup time

Same-day pickup is often possible. If the car is at a shop or behind a gate, sort out access before our tow truck arrives.

  4. 4.The driver checks car and papers

A quick look to confirm the car matches the call, and the title or other papers we agreed on. Have your ID ready.

  5. 5.You're paid, the car leaves

Cash, Zelle or Cash App, paid before the truck pulls away. The tow costs you nothing.

  6. 6.You finish the paperwork

Keep your plates, cancel the insurance once the car is sold, and in Chicago sort out the city sticker. The section below covers it.

Payment, plainly

You're paid at pickup, when the car is collected. Choose cash, Zelle or Cash App on the call. There's no tow fee taken from the offer, and the number we agree is the number we plan to pay as long as the car is the one you described.

Papers you'll want on hand

  • The title, signed where the seller signs, if you have it. Don't fill in the buyer section until the driver is there.
  • A photo ID that matches the name on the title.
  • If there's a lien, a lien release from the lender. See selling a car with a lien in Illinois.
  • If the owner has died, the papers that show who can sell for the estate. See selling a relative's car.

No title at all? Tell us what you have, like a bill of sale, registration or an insurance card. Which papers count for a scrap sale is set by Illinois law, so we check yours on the phone before a truck is booked. More on no-title sales.

Once the truck pulls away

Take your license plates off before the truck leaves. If you live in Chicago, our city sticker guide explains what to do with the sticker. Then cancel the insurance on the car, once it's no longer yours.

Pickup day questions

How long does a pickup take once the truck arrives?
Usually a short visit: checking the car, signing papers and loading. A car buried in a garage or blocked in an alley takes longer.
Can a friend or relative meet the driver instead of me?
The person who signs the title needs to be the owner on it, or someone legally able to sign for them. If you can't be there, call us first so we can work out what's allowed.
Do I need to clean out the car?
Yes, take out everything you want to keep. Once the car is loaded, getting things back is hard. Check the trunk, glove box, under the seats and the spare tire well.
